In 2025, the sixth edition of 6ARTISTA has officially begun. The residency program was conceived by Marcello Smarrelli for Fondazione Pastificio Cerere, and this year it is realized in collaboration with RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts, with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture (MiC) and SIAE, as part of the Per Chi Crea program.
6ARTISTA. Project for Young Artists 2025–2026 project offers six emerging artists the opportunity to develop their research over the course of a three-month residency hosted at the Pastificio Cerere spaces, located in the heart of the San Lorenzo district in Rome. The selected artists for this edition are: Vanshika Agrawal, Emma Brunelli, Micol Gelsi, Davide Miceli, Giulia Romolo, and Nadia Vallino. Over the course of twelve months, the program will host two artists at a time, who will share a studio space for a three-month residency in the historic building.
At the end of the residency, scheduled for February 2026, the works produced will be presented in a group exhibition curated by Davide Lunerti and Marcello Smarrelli, hosted in the Foundation’s new exhibition spaces.
Throughout the residency, the Foundation and RUFA—under the guidance of tutors Marta Jovanović (artist) and Fabrizio Pizzuto (art historian)—will promote a rich program of educational activities, meetings, studio visits, and exchanges with professionals from the field: critics, curators, journalists, and representatives of cultural institutions. The selected artists will also have free access to seminars and workshops offered by RUFA.
The goal of 6ARTISTA is to build a strong institutional network, providing participants with opportunities for professional growth and exchange on both a national and international level.
