Emma Brunelli

Emma Brunelli was born in Rome in November 2000. In the city, she grew up and was educated, first obtaining a diploma from an International Scientific High School and later earning a Bachelor’s degree in Sculpture from RUFA (Rome University of Fine Arts). Alongside her academic studies, she explored various artistic media such as painting, photography, dance, and theatre. In 2023, she moved to London to pursue a Master’s degree in Art and Science at UAL (University of the Arts London). She currently lives and studies in London.

Emma Brunelli’s practice stems from the need to dismantle the ontological barriers that human beings construct between themselves and the non-human. Her research investigates a horizontal, entropic reality in which all matter is interconnected in a constant and unceasing flow, ultimately reaching a state in which everything exists within everything else. Her work aims to reverse the anthropocentric perspective that positions the human species at the top of a hierarchical structure, reformulating conventional thought through a multidisciplinary approach—often materializing in sculptural or installation-based works.
