In 2026, the seventh edition of 6ARTISTA, the residency program conceived by Marcello Smarrelli for the Fondazione Pastificio Cerere, gets underway. This year’s edition is carried out in collaboration with the Accademia di Belle Arti di Roma, NABA, Nuova Accademia di Belle Arti, and RUFA – Rome University of Fine Arts, with the support of the Italian Ministry of Culture and SIAE as part of the Per Chi Crea program.
The 6ARTISTA. Project for young artist 2026-27 offers six emerging artists the opportunity to develop their artistic research during a 75-day residency in the ateliers of Pastificio Cerere, in the heart of Rome’s San Lorenzo neighbourhood. The artists selected for this edition are: Hinrik Leonard Ingólfsson (NABA); Valerio Pacini (ABARoma); Arianna Pontil Ceste (NABA); Erica Gismondi (ABARoma); Kateryna Sopelkina (RUFA); Claudia Taratufolo (RUFA).
At the end of the residency cycle, the works produced will be presented in a group exhibition scheduled for January 2027, curated by Angelica Gatto and Marcello Smarrelli and hosted at Fondazione Pastificio Cerere.
During the residency, the Foundation and its partner academies, under the supervision of tutors Marta Jovanović (artist), Gianni Politi (artist), and Fabrizio Sartori (artist), will promote a rich program of educational activities, meetings, studio visits, and exchanges with art professionals, including critics, curators, journalists, and representatives of cultural institutions. Selected artists will also have free access to seminars and workshops offered by ABA, NABA, and RUFA.
The objective of 6ARTISTA is to build a solid institutional network, offering participants opportunities for professional development and exchange at both national and international level.
