Eugenio Tibaldi, BENU

23 September - 28 November 2026
curated by Marcello Smarrelli

On Tuesday 22 September 2026, Fondazione Pastificio Cerere and Fondazione Severino, in collaboration with Intesa Sanpaolo, present BENU, a solo exhibition by artist Eugenio Tibaldi curated by Marcello Smarrelli.
The exhibition will be open to the public from Wednesday, September 23 to Saturday, November 28, 2026.

Through images and documents, the exhibition tells the story of the eponymous project, born from a shared desire to bring contemporary art into the Casa Circondariale Femminile of Rebibbia. Developed through a participatory process, the project culminated in the creation of a permanent site-specific artwork, inaugurated during the Giubileo 2025 in the presence of the President of the Italian Republic Sergio Mattarella.

Bearing witness to the vitality of BENU and its developments one year after its inauguration at Rebibbia, the exhibition brings together a body of works born from that experience, helping to spread BENU‘s imagery beyond the boundaries of the original project. The artworks, documentary materials, images, and testimonies form the pieces of a single, larger visual map, capable of conveying the project’s development process while revealing the aesthetic and conceptual influences that guided its realization.
