Non dirmi che hai paura

09 March - 29 May 2017
A project by Pietro Ruffo, curated by Marcello Smarrelli

Fondazione Pastificio Cerere presents Non dirmi che hai paura (Do not tell me you are scared), a project by Pietro Ruffo with the participation of Ottavio Celestino, curated by Marcello Smarrelli and supported by the Direzione Generale Arte and Architettura Contemporanee and Periferie Urbane (DG AAP) of MIBACT (Ministry of Cultural Heritage and Activities and Tourism). The project will be carried out in collaboration with the High School Piaget – Diaz, the CivicoZero centre as well as Amnesty International.

Non dirmi che hai paura involves a class of 25 students from “Piaget – Diaz” and a group of children from Civico Zero, a centre for unaccompanied foreign minors. The three days of workshops taking place at Pastificio Cerere, with the artist Pietro Ruffo and the photographer Ottavio Celestino, will aim to create a work of art.

A lecture will be held on Monday 29 May 2017 at the school theatre of “Piaget – Diaz”, to reflect on and discuss the issue of migration, its history and its social effects from different perspectives. During the meeting those involved will recount their experience of the project and the works of art, given to the school, will be displayed. In addition there will be a screening of a video-documentary made about the project.
