The European project Up Skilling cultural managers: matching skills needs by improving vocational training is a two years’ Leonardo learning partnerships project funded with the support of the European Commission through the Leonardo Italian LLP National Agency.
The overall objective of the project is to improve and update the skills and competencies of cultural managers by better matching the training with the labour market needs to improve the quality of the VET offer.

The partnership is composed by both VET providers and cultural organisations: MeP, project leader, Fondazione Pastificio Cerere (IT), Anthropolis (HU), Creative & Cultural Skills (UK),Fundación Iberoamericana de las Industrias Culturales y Creativas (ES), Danish Centre for Arts and Interculture (DK) and  e Setepés (PT).

The e-booklet CREATIVE GYM. TRAINING EXERCISES FOR CULTURAL MANAGERS. A collection of essays and case studies is the result of the Upskill cooperation and of the contrasting narratives from the different partners involved. Each chapter is based around specific competencies identified by the partners, which link to a type of training or tool, and related case studies. Entrepreneurship, professional skills, fundraising, project management, audience development and digital skills.
