Jacob Kolding: Posters

12 February - 28 March 2008
curated by Lorenzo Benedetti

The Danish artist Jakob Kolding, for his first solo show in Italy, presents a retrospective exhibition of his poster projects where the theme of architecture, town planning, and design of social space are interpreted and translated into an imaginary space. The works of Kolding deal with space not as something strictly physical and static, but space as a process that is always being defined by it’s context, a wide range of social, economic and political inter-relations. Thus the posters include references to a variety of subjects, from architecture to art, music, comics, computer games, politics, football and theories of urban sociology.
